Foundation Scholarships

Ozzello, Larry Scholarship

The scholarship will be awarded to an incoming full-time, resident freshman that intends to major in accounting at UW-Eau Claire and intends to work in the profession upon graduation. Candidates must rank in the top 25% of their graduating class and have a minimum of a 25 composite on the ACT (or comparable SAT). The successful applicant for this award must have participated in school or community organizations and exhibited a potential for leadership as displayed by those high school activities. Financial need is required. Nonrenewable.

The general incoming freshmen scholarship application is available online at: www.uwec.edu/admissions/paying.htm. Admitted, eligible candidates are encouraged to apply. If you feel you meet the application requirements and cannot access the online application, please contact the Admissions Office at (715)836-5415.

The Admissions Office will coordinate the selection of recipients.

Screening of candidates will begin in December and continue through spring. Selections will be made no later than April 30 or until recipients have accepted all the awards.

The Office of Admissions will notify scholarship recipients (and their high school counselors once an award is accepted.)

The recipient should send a thank-you note to Dr. Larry Ozzello, in care of the Department of Accounting and Finance Department.
