Gleiter, Mel & Lois

Junior or senior student pursuing a major in Biochemistry /Molecular Biology at UWEC. GPA of at least 3.0 in major and 3.0 in chemistry and biology courses. Career goals, student activities, service to the Chemistry and/or Biology Departments as indicated on the application form.

Applicants should pick up an application form in the Biology or Chemistry Department offices. Return completed application form along with two letters of reference and an academic transcript to the Chair of the Chemistry Department Awards Committee.

Materials should be submitted to the Chair of the Chemistry Department Awards Committee by April 1.

The Chemistry Department Awards Committee based on stated criteria will choose recipients.

The recipients will be announced at the May Banquet of the Student Affiliate Chapter of the ACS. The Chair of the Chemistry Department Awards Committee shall also complete and submit a “Scholarship Award Form” for each recipient to the Financial Aid office.

It is recommended that the recipient send a thank you note to Dr. Mel Gleiter in care of the UWEC Foundation Office.
