Foundation Scholarships

Ernst & Young Accounting

This scholarship was established through contributions to the UW-EC alumni and other associates employed by Ernst & Young CPAs as a manifestation of their esteem for the excellent job done in preparation of accountants for the profession. The scholarship will be awarded to a full- time, resident sophomore or junior accounting major at UW-Eau Claire who has been accepted into the College of Business. The recipient must intend to work in the profession upon graduation. The student must have a GPA of 3.0 or above. The successful applicant for this award must have participated in college or community organizations and exhibited a potential for leadership as displayed by those activities. Diversified students are encouraged to apply for this award. Financial need is required.

As determined by the Department of Accounting and Finance Scholarship Committee.

The scholarship recipient will be selected by the Department of Accounting and Finance Scholarship Committee. In the event of a tie, the award will be given to the student with the highest cumulative GPA at that time. The scholarship will not be divided.

Prior to the end of the Spring Semester

The Department Scholarship Committee will send the recipient a notification letter, with a copy of the notification letter should be sent to the Financial Aid and Foundation Offices.

The recipient should send a thank-you note to Ernst & Young, in care of the Department of Accounting and Finance Department.
