ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
This scholarship was established through contributions to the UW-EC alumni and other associates employed by Ernst & Young CPAs as a manifestation of their esteem for the excellent job done in preparation of accountants for the profession. The scholarship will be awarded to a full- time, resident sophomore or junior accounting major at UW- Eau Claire who has been accepted into the College of Business. The recipient must intend to work in the profession upon graduation. The student must have a GPA of 3.0 or above. The successful applicant for this award must have participated in college or community organizations and exhibited a potential for leadership as displayed by those activities. Diversified students are encouraged to apply for this award. Financial need is required.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
Contact the Department of Accounting and Finance Office for further information.
APPLICATION DEADLINE:
Applications become available the week before spring break and are due the week after spring break.
SELECTION PROCEDURE:
The scholarship recipient will be selected by the Department of Accounting and Finance Scholarship Committee. In the event of a tie, the award will be given to the student with the highest cumulative GPA at that time. The scholarship will not be divided.
SELECTION DEADLINE:
Prior to the end of the Spring Semester
NOTIFICATION:
The Department Scholarship Committee will send the recipient a notification letter, with a copy of the notification letter should be sent to the Financial Aid and Foundation Offices.
SPECIAL NOTES:
The recipient should send a thank-you note to Ernst & Young, in care of the Department of Accounting and Finance Department.
