Foundation Scholarships

Environmental Public Health (ENPH)

The student must be a declared Environmental and Public Health major for at least one year with one year remaining in school. To qualify for the award, a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 is necessary. Applicants must provide two letters of recommendation from outside the department. Applicants must provide an essay on the student's reason for applying for the award, goals and special contributions that he/she has made in environmental health and activities in the major.

Application Forms: Students who are admitted to the nursing program at UW-Eau Claire will receive an email in late February/early March when the scholarship application is ready and available. The email will include the path to the online application forms. PART ONE is filled online and submitted electronically. PART TWO (the essay and activities form) is filled out online and printed off, signed and submitted to the Dean’s Assistant Office, Nursing 103, by the deadline. Only one essay can be submitted. The essay must address the eligibility criteria for each of the scholarships that they wish to apply for.

A selection committee will review applications and select one nominee.

To be determined by the Department of Environmental and Public Health.

Notification will be made by the selection committee by letter. The committee will also complete and submit a “Scholarship Award Form” to the Financial Aid Office. The name will also be posted on the departmental bulletin and in the department newsletter.

The scholarship recipient is selected in the spring. The scholarship award is applied to recipient’s tuition the following academic year.
