ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
In order to be considered for this award, applicants must be a full-time music major (preference for music education major) with sophomore standing or above. The applicant must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0 in all course work and be in good academic standing. The scholarship could be renewable to the same person for up to two years following the first award. Financial need is a consideration for the award.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
Students will submit a brief statement regarding their goals and their financial need. Application forms are available in the Department of Music and Theatre Arts Office.
APPLICATION DEADLINE:
Spring, as determined by Music and Theatre Arts.
SELECTION PROCEDURE:
The Scholarship Committee of the Department of Music and Theatre Arts shall make the selection.
SELECTION DEADLINE: Spring Semester.
NOTIFICATION:
All nominees will receive official notification from the Department of Music and Theatre Arts. The Department will also send a “Scholarship Award Form” to the Financial Aid Office to inform them of the recipient selected.
SPECIAL NOTES:
Mr. Herbert Juneau, now deceased, was an educator who established this award to encourage promising music students. His spouse is also deceased. A thank-you note should be addressed to David Juneau, in care of the UW-Eau Claire Foundation Office in Schofield 214.
