Foundation Scholarships

Harry, Vicki J. Psychology

Recipient must be a Psychology major with junior standing at UWEC with academic potential to complete the bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Student must have professional commitment and one year of service or employment experience serving individuals with exceptional needs and career goals related to service of individuals with exceptional needs.

Applicants should submit the following to the Psychology Department Office: academic transcript, two faculty and one business/community references, and application letter (2 page maximum) with narrative description of past activities/work experience with exceptional individuals, career goals and service to the department, university and community.

Second Friday in April

The recipient will be selected by the Psychology Department Awards Committee based upon the above criteria.

Prior to the Honors Week Banquet.

The recipient will be announced at the May banquet of the UWEC Chapter of Psi Chi National Honorary Society during Honors Week. After the banquet, the Chair of the Psychology Department Awards Committee will complete and submit a “Scholarship Award Form” to the Financial Aid Office.

Each recipient should send a thank-you letter to David Harry, Vicki’s husband, in care of the UWEC Foundation.
