Dahle, Johannes & Arlene Multicultural


AMOUNT: $500
AVAILABLE: Annually
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
The purpose of the scholarship will be to provide financial incentives to student leaders who are African American, American Indian, Asian or Hispanic who have shown substantial leadership ability and involvement at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Significant involvement will be measured by the student's participation in overall campus activities as well as involvement in multicultural activities and programs. Applicants must be undergraduates in good academic standing, pursuing a Bachelor's degree.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
Applicants should contact the Director of the Office of Multicultural Affairs.
APPLICATION DEADLINE: March 1
SELECTION PROCEDURE:
The Director of the Office of Multicultural Affairs will select the award recipient.
SELECTION DEADLINE: April 3
NOTIFICATION:
A letter will be sent to recipients by the Director of the Office of Multicultural Affairs who will also complete and send a “Scholarship Award Form” to the Financial Aid Office.
SPECIAL NOTES:
This scholarship was created in September 1994, by the American Ethnic Coordinating Office in appreciation of the commitment to, and support of, minority students shown by Jo Dahle during his tenure as the Director of Development and University Relations at UW-Eau Claire. He is a special friend of minority students and has served as a mentor to many people on campus. This scholarship recognizes his ongoing concern for the welfare of individuals and his commitment to higher education. Send a thank you to Johannes and Arlene Dahle, in care of the Foundation Office.
