Foundation Scholarships

The applicant must: be a full-time music major that has completed at least 60 semester hours and who has at least one year of undergraduate study remaining; be a woodwind major in either Music Education or Applied; have a 3.0 GPA from UW-Eau Claire or better. Preference will be given to a bassoon or clarinet applicant.

Application forms will be available in the Music Office. Candidates who have been notified by the Wind Division Coordinator will be asked to provide a brief statement of background and goals.

The Wind Division Coordinator and all full and part-time woodwind faculty will constitute the Selection Committee. Their pool of applicants will be based on the eligibility criteria. The Wind Division Coordinator will determine eligibility and notify candidates of their status.

The Department of Music will notify recipients prior to the last Performance Class and not later than May 15. The Chair will complete and submit a “Scholarship Award Form” to the Financial Aid office for each recipient.
