AMOUNT: $9,000 total AVAILABLE: Annually ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: Music students with talent and displaying good citizenship. Financial need is not necessarily a factor. Recipients of these scholarships will be encouraged, upon attaining maturity and ability to do so, to return the amount of their gift to the fund.APPLICATION PROCEDURE: Audition for major program in the Department of Music and Theatre Arts.APPLICATION DEADLINE: July 28 SELECTION PROCEDURE: Recipients will be chosen by the conductor of the University Orchestra, the chair of the Department of Music and Theatre Arts, and a third member of the Music faculty chosen by these two persons. Any recipient named for a succeeding year will be selected according to performance in the preceding year.SELECTION DEADLINE: Prior to academic year NOTIFICATION: All nominees will receive official notification from the Department of Music and Theatre Arts.SPECIAL NOTES: A thank you note should be sent to Mrs. Melvin Cohen c/o the UWEC Foundation Office. |
