The award is open to Junior or Senior Chemistry-Business majors who demonstrate academic achievement and potential. In the application, students should indicate career goals, and outline student activities and service to the Department of Chemistry. In the event no Chemistry-Business majors apply for the award, the scholarship may be presented to a Chemistry major.

Students should submit a letter of application outlining eligibility along with an academic transcript. The resume' should list work experience, career goals, student activities, and service to the department. Two reference letters should also be submitted. The letter, with appropriate supporting information, should be submitted to the Chair of the Department Awards Committee by April 1.

The Chemistry Department Awards Committee based upon stated criteria will choose the recipient.

The winner will be announced at the May Banquet of the Student Affiliate Chapter of the ACS. The Chair should complete and submit a “Scholarship Award Form” to the Financial Aid office.
