Foundation Scholarships

Candidates must be majoring in Elementary Education and possess a strong record of academic achievement.

Qualifying students will receive an email in December with scholarship application information. Also, visit the webpage www.uwec.edu/coehs/forms/index.htm and go to Teacher Education Scholarships. Complete the form and submit it to the Education Scholarship Committee. Ask two members of the Department of Curriculum and Instruction faculty, who are familiar with your achievements at the University, to submit letters of recommendation to the Scholarship Committee.

Mid-February. Visit the webpage www.uwec.edu/coehs/forms/index.htm and go to Teacher Education Scholarships. Exact deadline will be in Scholarship Applications Directions.

Selection will be made by the College of Education and Human Sciences Scholarship Committee based on published criteria as well as the committee's assessment of candidate's evaluation of potential teaching effectiveness.

By letter by the Associate Dean, who will also complete and submit a “Scholarship Award Form to the Financial Aid office.

The recipient is asked to write a thank you letter to the family of Mildred Burcalow and forward it to the Foundation Office, S-214.
