Candidates must possess a strong academic record, be admitted to the College of Education and Human Sciences, and have a concentration in the area of junior high or middle school preparation.

Qualifying students will receive an email in December with scholarship application information. Also, visit the webpage www.uwec.edu/coehs/forms/index.htm and go to Teacher Education Scholarships. Complete the form and submit it to the Education Scholarship Committee. Ask at least one member of the Teacher Education Program who is familiar with your achievements at the University to submit a letter of recommendation to the Scholarship Committee.

Mid-February. Visit the webpage www.uwec.edu/coehs/forms/index.htm and go to Teacher Education Scholarships. Exact deadline will be in Scholarship Applications Directions.

Selection will be based on the criteria above. The scholarship will be paid while the student is student teaching (either fall or spring semester).

The Dean of the College of Education and Human Sciences will notify recipient by letter; and complete and submit a “Scholarship Award Form” to the Financial Aid Office.

Recipient should write a letter of thanks to Cheryl Dierking and forward it to the Foundation Office, S-214.
