AMOUNT: $100.00 AVAILABLE: ANNUALLY ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: This scholarship award is available to a continuing junior student with an English major who has maintained the highest cumulative grade point average.APPLICATION PROCEDURE: There is no formal application procedure. All English majors of junior standing by June 1 will be considered.APPLICATION DEADLINE: SELECTION PROCEDURE: A computer listing of all juniors who are English majors will be obtained. The student with the highest cumulative grade point average as of June 1 will receive the award. If two or more students have identical grade point averages, the student with the highest GPA in English courses will receive the award.SELECTION DEADLINE: June 1 NOTIFICATION: The award winner will be notified in writing by the Financial Aid Office. A copy of the award letter should be sent to the Chair of the Department of English and the Foundation Office. The entire award will be distributed during the Fall Semester.SPECIAL NOTES: No thank-you note is required as the Barnhart’s are deceased. |
