AMOUNT: 2 @ $1,000, $2,000 total AVAILABLE: Annually ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: In order to be considered for this award, applicants must be full-time music major at the time the scholarship is received, have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 in all course work and 2.75 in music courses and register for a major choral ensemble and for applied voice.APPLICATION PROCEDURE: All students meeting the above criteria will be considered for this award.APPLICATION DEADLINE: SELECTION PROCEDURE: The Chair of the Department of Music and Theatre Arts shall make the selection of the people to be nominated. The chair shall make these decisions based on the recommendations of appropriate committees in the Department of Music and Theatre Arts.SELECTION DEADLINE: NOTIFICATION: All nominees will receive official notification from the Department of Music. The Chair will complete and submit a “Scholarship Award Form” to the Financial Aid office for each recipient.SPECIAL NOTES: Recipients must write a letter of thanks to Janet Barland and Thomas Barland, daughter and son of George C. Barland, and forward to the UW-Eau Claire Foundation Office, S-214. |
