Foundation Scholarships

Andresen, Karl

Political Science majors and minors, and pre-law students who as undergraduates at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire have demonstrated scholarly excellence and a promise for future scholarship, who will graduate in the academic year the scholarship is granted, and who will attend either law or graduate school immediately after graduating from UW-Eau Claire. May, August, and December graduates may be nominated by any member of the Political Science faculty.

Students do not apply for this scholarship.

The faculty will nominate candidates in the fall of the academic year with a list of finalists selected by the Political Science faculty at their November department meeting. Finalists will be asked to write a letter to the department, indicating their career interests and providing evidence of law or graduate school application. All actions by the faculty will be by a majority of those present and voting.

The recipients will be selected by the department faculty in their April meeting.

The finalists will be notified of their candidacy after the November department meeting. The announcement of the recipient will be announced during the University’s Honors Week celebrations. The Chair will complete and submit a “Scholarship Award Form” for each recipient to the Financial Aid office.
