ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
Must be a full-time UWEC junior accounting major with financial need who has completed ACCT 301 and be admitted to the College of Business and has a GPA of 3.0 or above. Preference will be given to individuals who work part-time to support their education expenses. Student must have demonstrated significant participation in University, College, department, or community organizations. Scholarship must not reduce other financial aid, excluding federal work-study funding. Must have potential for leadership as displayed by activities in college and have the ability and desire to enter the public accounting profession, banking, or finance industry. In the event of a tie, the award will be given to the student with the highest cumulative GPA at the time, but the award shall not be divided and given to two or more candidates.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
Applications available from the Department of Accounting and Finance Scholarship Chair.
APPLICATION DEADLINE:
Applications become available the week before spring break and are due the week after spring break.
SELECTION PROCEDURE:
Selection of the recipient will be made by the Department of Accounting and Finance Scholarship Committee and reviewed by Mr. Albert J. Colianni, Jr.
SELECTION DEADLINE:
Determined Annually by the Department
NOTIFICATION:
The Chair will notify the recipient by letter and complete and submit a “Scholarship Award Form” to the Financial Aid office.
