SPECIAL NOTES:
The Evelyn and Walli Zabo Scholarship fund was established by Rick Schroder in 2010 to honor his wife, Evelyn Zabo, and her mother, Walli Zabo on the occasion of Evelyn’s birthday. Evelyn, a graduate or Oregon State University, was named an honorary Blugold in 2010. She is a senior executive with Microsoft as a global alliance leader. She is an active supporter of higher education and, along with Rick, is a member of the UW-Eau Claire Foundation board of directors. Evelyn also has a strong interest in the arts and has served on the Pacific Northwest Ballet board, provided leadership to PONCHO, an arts funding organization of Seattle, and is on the board of the Seattle Opera. Evelyn’s mother, Walli, is an emigrant from Germany and has been a resident of Oregon for many years. She often spends time with Evelyn and Rick at their home in the Seattle area. Recipient should forward a letter of thanks to Rick Schroder and Evelyn Zabo in care of the UW-Eau Claire Foundation Office, S-214. Recipient is also expected to provide an update of his/her activities and accomplishments each semester the award is received, and forward that to the Foundation Office as well.
