$1,250 available annually, renewable for up to three additional years.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
This scholarship will be awarded to an incoming freshman and graduate of Greenwood High School who shows great potential for success and a passion for learning. The applicant must be accepted for admission to UW-Eau Claire, determined to have financial need through the Financial Aid Office, and have a minimum GPA of 3.0. This scholarship is renewable for three additional years provided a minimum GPA of 3.0 is maintained, thus total award amount is $5,000 over four years if 3.0 GPA is maintained. If there is no qualified applicant from Greenwood High School attending UW-Eau Claire, the scholarship will not be awarded. It will then be available again the following year.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
Scholarship applications are available at Greenwood High School.
APPLICATION DEADLINE:
Application must be turned in to the Guidance Office at Greenwood High School by March 1st.
SELECTION PROCEDURE:
The Greenwood High School Scholarship Committee will review the applications and select the freshman recipient. Greenwood High School will notify the UW-Eau Claire Financial Aid Office of the recipient name.
SELECTION DEADLINE:
Contact the Guidance Office at Greenwood High School.
NOTIFICATION:
The recipient will be notified and recognized at the Greenwood High School Scholarship Awards Banquet in mid- May.
SPECIAL NOTES:
This scholarship fund was established to honor the memory of Brandon Zwieg, who was a junior Information Systems major at UW-Eau Claire when he passed away. Brandon graduated from Greenwood High School in 2008. The recipient should write a letter of thanks to the Zwieg family and deliver it to the UW-Eau Claire Foundation Office, S-214.
