Foundation Scholarships

Travis, John & Coleen Pre-Veterinary Scholarship

Applicants must be a junior or senior at UW-Eau Claire who plans to complete their Bachelors of Science degree before being enrolled in veterinary school. The student must have a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or better and a 3.3 or better in their major. The recipient must have references from a veterinarian professional as evidence of experience in their chosen field. In the absence of a qualified pre-veterinary student, the scholarship may be awarded to a biology student intending to become a secondary education teacher. Financial need may be used in the case of equal candidates. Recipients may apply for this scholarship.

A Selection Committee from the Biology Department will select the recipient based upon the criteria stated above.

By letter by the Chair of the Scholarship Committee. The Chair will complete and submit a “Scholarship Award Form” to the Financial Aid Office.

The scholarship recipient should send a thank-you letter to John and Coleen Travis in care of the UW-Eau Claire Foundation.
