Open to full-time public accounting majors at UW-Eau Claire, during their junior or senior year, who are residents of the Suby, Von Haden & Associates (SVA) service area (Southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois) and who intend to establish careers in public accounting. Student must have a minimum grade point average of 3.00, demonstrate leadership and participate in extra-curricular activities. Consideration will be given to a SVA intern.

Applications become available the week before spring break and are due the week after spring break.

The recipient will be selected by the department based upon the criteria above.

Determined by the Department of Accounting and Finance.

The Department Chair will notify the scholarship recipient in writing with a copy of the letter sent to Jack R. Cotton at SVA. The Department Chair will complete and submit a “Scholarship Award Form” to the Financial Aid Office.

The recipient should send a thank-you note to Jack R. Cotton at SVA Associates, Inc., in care of the Department of Accounting and Finance Department.
