Applicants must be a declared Actuarial major in the Mathematics Department and have enough credits to be of junior status. Applicants must also be legally eligible to work in the United States. A minimum GPA of 3.2 is preferred. Additional criteria include, but are not limited to, number of actuarial professional exams completed, actuarial internship experience, and leadership experience. Selection will be made based upon material submitted and input from the actuarial faculty regarding performance in actuarial courses.

Applicants must complete and submit the application form along with a resume and unofficial transcript to the Mathematics Department Office.

December 1

Selection will be based on demonstrated performance and potential in actuarial science. The Mathematics Department awards committee will select the recipient.

December 15

The recipient of the scholarship will receive official notification and be honored at the Department of Mathematics Graduation and Awards Celebration. The Department will complete and submit a “Scholarship Award Form” to the Financial Aid Office.

The recipient is expected to write a thank you letter to Travelers Insurance and forward it to the UW-Eau Claire Foundation Office, S-214.
