Preference will be given to music majors and minors, but will not be exclusive to. Financial need is NOT a factor and the scholarship will be based on materials submitted. (See below) Student must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.

Submit the application form, available in the Department of Music and Theatre Arts, along with a separate sheet, listing all (musical) awards, honors and achievements since entering college. One coherent essay answering the following two questions, 750 words maximum: “How will/have you influenced others with music?” “How have you adhered to the highest standards of citizenship in schools and communities?”

The collegiate members of Sigma Alpha Iota, Epsilon Omicron, will narrow the applicants down; however, associated faculty will make the final decision.

The recipient will receive official notification from Sigma Alpha Iota, Epsilon Omicron. The Chairperson of the Department of Music and Theatre Arts will complete and submit a “Scholarship Award Form” to the Financial Aid office so the award can be paid.
