ELIBIBILITY CRITERIA:
Applicants must be a declared major in accounting, business administration, business economics, finance, health care administration, information systems, management or marketing who will be studying abroad during the academic year or summer for which applying. NOTE: First preference is given to College of Business students. If no qualified business students apply, the scholarships may be awarded to any UW-Eau Claire student, regardless of major, who is planning a study abroad experience. Financial need, as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), is a requirement.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
Please submit the following information to the College of Business Scholarship Committee, SSS 117A: completed application form, “campus copy” of transcript; resume; brief narrative to include where the students intends to study, what he/she hopes to learn and experience while studying abroad, and how he/she expects the experience to benefit him/her personally and professionally. An incomplete application packet will disqualify a student from award consideration.
APPLICATION DEADLINE:
As determined by the College of Business.
SELECTION PROCEDURE:
The College of Business Scholarship Committee selects the award recipient.

By letter.
SPECIAL NOTES:
Dr. Schlattman was a professor in the Business Communication Department. He was also the College of Business’ first coordinator for International Business Programs. The scholarship recipient is required to direct a letter of thanks to Dr. Schlattman, in care of the UW-Eau Claire Foundation Office S-214. The recipient is also expected to write a blog while on the exchange highlighting his/her experience and reflecting on what he/she is learning. The blog will be posted on the COB website.
