Foundation Scholarships

Quayle, Calvin King Theatre

This scholarship is to assist new or continuing students who show promise in theatre arts. Students with financial need are given first consideration. Student must be a declared theatre arts major or minor.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

Application forms are available in the Department of Music and Theatre Arts office. Application should be accompanied by a letter that includes theatrical achievements, professional interests and goals, and current cumulative GPA.

APPLICATION DEADLINE:

April 15

SELECTION PROCEDURE:

The recipient is selected by the Theatre Arts Scholarship Committee.

SELECTION DEADLINE:

May 1

NOTIFICATION:

The Chair of the Department of Music and Theatre Arts will notify the recipient in writing. The Chair will also complete and submit a “Scholarship Award Form” to the Financial Aid Office.

SPECIAL NOTES:

Dr. Quayle loved to read and learn and share what he had learned. He was head of the Speech and Theatre Department at UW-Eau Claire. He had a great love for the theatre. He acted in plays in high school and college. He designed sets for, acted in and directed plays in college. He made many contributions to the arts in the Eau Claire Community. Recipient should write a letter of thanks to Virginia Quayle and forward it to the UW-Eau Claire Foundation Office, S-214.
