ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
Recipient must be a full-time student at UW-Eau Claire. Have successfully completed Accounting 301 and be admitted to the College of Business. Must show above-average academic achievement as demonstrated by a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above. Must have ability and desire to enter the public accounting profession. Must have participated in University or community organizations. Must have potential for leadership as demonstrated by activities while in college. If a tie appears in the selection of a candidate, the awards are not to be divided, but rather be given to the best student based on an objective measurement, such as cumulative GPA at that time.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
To be considered for the award, contact the Chair of the Accounting and Finance Department Scholarship Committee.
APPLICATION DEADLINE:
Applications become available the week before spring break and are due the week after spring break.
SELECTION PROCEDURE:
The scholarship recipient will be selected on or around March 1, by the Accounting and Finance Scholarship Committee based upon the criteria above.
SELECTION DEADLINE: Around March 1
NOTIFICATION:
The recipient will be notified by letter by the Scholarship Committee. The Committee chair will complete and submit a “Scholarship Award Form” to the Financial Aid Office.
SPECIAL NOTES:
The recipient is encouraged to send a thank-you note to McGladrey in care of the UW-EC Foundation Office, S-214.
