SPECIAL NOTES:
This scholarship was established in 2007 by John and Martha Warden of Seattle, WA, in memory of Marian Running, a 1954 UW-Eau Claire graduate, who died in 2006. Marian, who was John Warden’s sister, was a long-time school librarian in the Eau Claire area. Her passion for books and all things related to libraries inspired John. He wanted to encourage future school librarians to follow in his sister’s footsteps. Recipients are asked to send a thank you note to John and Martha Warden in care of the UW-Eau Claire Foundation.
