SPECIAL NOTES:
Mrs. Rounds was among the first delegation of US educators to tour countries of the Orient in 1969, introducing foreign students to the educational opportunities at UWEC. For 20 years, she volunteered her services as “American Mother” and adviser to foreign students. Mrs. Rounds focused on the whole person, not merely the student, and kept in close touch with many students and their families until the time of her death. It is the intent of the sponsors to commemorate her acceptance of all people, and to perpetuate her mission of multi-cultural education. Sponsors include: Friends, Family, and “Chinese Children” of Mrs. Dolly Rounds. Letters of thanks should be sent to Mrs. Rounds’ daughter, Beverly Plante in care of the Foundation Office.
