SPECIAL NOTES:
The Patches Scholarship Fund was established by UW-Eau Claire Alumnus Rick Schroder and his wife, Evelyn Zabo, in memory of Rick’s brother who died in 2007 after battling ALS. Tom Schroder, an Eau Claire native, was a standout athlete and former teacher. His beloved dog, Patches, was his companion and friend. Rick wanted to honor his brother’s memory with a scholarship to help others achieve their goals despite hardships in their lives. A thank you letter should be directed to Rick Schroder and Evelyn Zabo in care of the UW-Eau Claire Foundation, S-214.
