Foundation Scholarships

Outstanding Telefund Caller

PENDING One award for fall semester and one award for spring semester.

Student must have been a Telefund caller for at least one full semester with a good statistical record of success securing donations. Attendance, attitude and pledge history in the call center will be taken into consideration. The scholarship will be awarded each semester.

Applicants must write a brief (1 page) essay on the work of Telefund and the UW-Eau Claire Foundation and how these entities help to make UW-Eau Claire a better university. Applicants must also write a message for Telefund’s pledge letters. This message should thank donors for their support, let them know how their gift helps, and encourage them to fulfill their pledge.

September 18 for fall semester and February 5 for spring semester.

A Foundation Office selection committee will review all applications and select the recipient.

Notification will be made to all applicants within two weeks of the deadline.

After visiting the call center a couple years ago, Chippewa Valley businessman Mike Siker was inspired by the work of these students and the ways they were indirectly helping so many others at the university through the funds raised at Telefund. As a result, Mr. Siker made a gift to the UW-Eau Claire Foundation to establish a Telefund scholarship for students employed by Telefund.
