Foundation Scholarships

Nelson, Sandra Study Abroad Scholarship

This scholarship will be awarded to a deserving UW-Eau Claire student with financial need who will be participating in a study abroad experience. One recipient will be selected for fall travel and one recipient will be selected for spring travel. Preference will be given to applicants who have not previously participated in a study abroad experience.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

The application is available through the Center for International Education website: http://www.uwec.edu/cie/studyabroad/.

APPLICATION DEADLINE:

August 15 for spring programs April 15 for fall/academic year programs

SELECTION DEADLINE:

Mid-September for spring programs Mid-may for fall/academic year programs

SELECTION PROCEDURE:

The UW-Eau Claire Study Abroad Grant Committee reviews applications and recommends the recipient to the Director of the Center for International Education.

NOTIFICATION:

Notification will be sent by CIE to the recipient by email. The CIE Director will complete and submit a “Scholarship Award Form” to the Financial Aid Office.

SPECIAL NOTES:

Sandra Nelson is President of Monitor Liability Managers in Rolling Meadows, IL. Sandra graduated from UW-Eau Claire with double majors in History and Economics. Recipients should send a letter of thanks to Sandra Nelson in care of the UW-Eau Claire Foundation Office, S-214.
