AMOUNT: $400.00 AVAILABLE: Annually ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: Must be a full-time UWEC junior or senior accounting major with financial need who has completed ACCT 301, been admitted to the College of Business, have a GPA of 3.0 or above, and plans to enter the accounting profession. Preference will be given to nontraditional student, age 25 or older. Scholarship must not reduce other financial aid, excluding federal work-study funding.APPLICATION PROCEDURE: A letter of application outlining educational and career goals should be submitted to the Accounting and Finance Scholarship Committee along with a transcript of all academic work completed.APPLICATION DEADLINE: April 1 or earlier if requested by the Accounting and Finance Scholarship Committee.SELECTION PROCEDURE: The Accounting and Finance Scholarship Committee will make the selection.SELECTION DEADLINE: To be determined by the Scholarship Committee, but no later than June 1.NOTIFICATION: The Accounting and Finance Scholarship Committee will send written notification to the Financial Aid Office prior to June 1.SPECIAL NOTES: The recipient is encouraged to send a thank-you note to Barbara and Eric Cutler in care of the UW-EC Foundation Office, S-214. This scholarship is given to honor the career of Dr. Lucretia S. Mattson, a former accounting professor at UWEC. Eric and Barbara both had Dr. Mattson for a Tax Accounting class and thought she was wonderful. |
