Lassek, John D. Scholarship

The John D. Lassek Memorial Scholarship Fund was created in memory of John Lassek who died in a car accident in 1999. It is the desire of John’s parents, David and Patricia, to establish an endowed scholarship that will provide support and encouragement to a student with demonstrated financial need who is working hard to meet their potential. Financial need is the key factor in awarding the scholarship, NOT academic standing with preference given to applicants who are not receiving any other form of scholarship support. It is the donors’ wish that students with average grades be considered. First preference will be given to a student entering UW-EC through the Collegiate Bridge Program or to a student who is a member of Delta Sigma Phi.

Determined by Collegiate Bridge

Collegiate Bridge Office will select the recipient.

The recipient will be selected during the spring semester before March 1 and the award will be paid that same semester.

The Collegiate Bridge Office will send notification to the recipient, with a copy going to David and Patricia Lassek. The Collegiate Bridge Office will complete the “Scholarship Award Form” and submit it to the Financial Aid office prior to the end of the spring semester so that payment can be made to the student before the end of the spring semester.

The recipient is asked to send an acknowledgement to David and Patricia Lassek in care of the Foundation Office.
