SPECIAL NOTES:
The recipient should address thank-you letters to Betsy Kell and send them to the UW-Eau Claire Foundation Office, Schofield 214. The John Kell Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in memory of John Kell, a UW-Eau Claire graduate and community leader, following his death in a motorcycle accident on August 5, 2005. John, a 1973 UW-Eau Claire graduate, was an exemplary Blugold and leader. He and his family had provided generous support for many campus projects including the Kell Container Corporation Undergraduate Research Award, the John Kell Football Endowment Fund and the Carson Park Turf Project. John led by example, believing that because his family had been so fortunate, giving back to others less so was simply the right thing to do. John was exemplary in figuring out what was important in life and then living in a way that reflected those values. This fund is a tribute to his leadership and his memory.
