Foundation Scholarships

Outstanding Journalism Recognition

This award is to recognize a continuing outstanding journalism student.

Students do not apply for this award. Candidates are recommended by the Journalism faculty. Details at www.uwec.edu/cj/scholarships.htm.

Candidates are recommended early to mid April.

A Department of Communication and Journalism Scholarship Committee will select the recipient.

The Chair of the Department of Communication and Journalism will send notification to the recipient and complete and submit a “Scholarship Award Form” for each recipient to the Financial Aid Office.

A letter of gratitude addressed to the Department of Communication and Journalism Scholarship Committee should be submitted directly to the program assistant. The winner of this award is expected to attend the Department of Communication and Journalism Student Excellence Recognition Reception held the last day of spring classes.
