Foundation Scholarships

Heyde Health Care Administration Entrepreneur

This scholarship will be given to the student whose practicum leadership project embodies true entrepreneurship. Projects will be evaluated on such criteria as creativity, relevance to the organization’s mission, viability, cost effectiveness, and the ability to capitalize on an unmet need or provide a solution to a problem.

There is no application procedure for this award.

The award-winning project will be selected by a committee comprised of a faculty member from the UW-Eau Claire Health Care Administration program, the director of the UW-Eau Claire Dennis L. Heyde Entrepreneur Program, and a representative from Heyde Companies.

The group will review projects in February with selection to occur in March.

The recipient of the Heyde Companies Health Care Administration Entrepreneur award will be recognized at the annual UW-Eau Claire Center for Health and Aging Services Excellence (CHASE) Spring Banquet, which is held in April. A member of the selection committee will complete and submit a “Scholarship Award Form” to the Financial Aid office. The recipient’s name will be posted on the departmental bulletin board and included in the department newsletter.

Heyde Companies has a long standing tradition as a leader in the provision of long term health services in the Chippewa Valley, and has been involved with the Health Care Administration Program at UW-Eau Claire since the program’s inception. The recipient should write a thank you letter to Dennis Heyde at Heyde Companies, in care of the UW-Eau Claire Foundation, S-214.
