SPECIAL NOTES:
Dick Cable and Dick and Joan Fleming are members of a group of agents who have worked for Northwest Mutual Financial Network for more than 50 years. Dick Cable named the group the Heroes. Through the years, the members and spouses supported one another and met as a group once a year. Dick Fleming calls Marlene Cable, wife of Dick Cable, the “den mother” of the group. When Marlene Cable died in June of 2009, the Flemings established this scholarship to support single parents who are students because Marlene was a member of the Women for Philanthropy at UW-Eau Claire. Recipients should write a letter of thanks and submit it to the UW-Eau Claire Foundation Office, S-214.
