ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
This scholarship will be awarded to an outstanding accounting major who has demonstrated financial need. Preference will be given to students who are the first members of their families to attend college. The recipient must intend to work in the accounting profession upon graduation. The student must have a GPA of 3.0 or above. The successful applicant for this award must have participated in college or community organizations and exhibited a potential for leadership as displayed by those activities. The scholarship is intended to be awarded to a new recipient each year.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
Contact the Department of Accounting and Finance for application information.
APPLICATION DEADLINE:
Applications become available the week before spring break and are due the week after spring break.
SELECTION PROCEDURE:
The Department of Accounting and Finance Scholarship Committee will select the recipient.
SELECTION DEADLINE:
Before the end of spring semester.
NOTIFICATION:
The Department of Accounting and Finance Scholarship Committee will notify the recipient in writing and will submit a “Scholarship Award Form to the Financial Aid Office.
SPECIAL NOTES:
This scholarship fund was established by Blake and Lori Grams in 2010. Blake graduated from UW-Eau Claire in 1989 with an undergraduate degree in Accounting. Currently Blake is Vice President and Corporate Controller at Toro Co. in Bloomington, MN. Recipient must write a letter of thanks to Blake and Lori Grams and forward it to the UW-Eau Claire Foundation Office, S-214.
