ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
This fund shall be used to promote research and writing on International Relations topics. An award(s) for student papers should be made on an annual basis beginning in the spring of 2004. All Political Science majors at UW-Eau Claire are eligible for awards. Each year the Political Science Department will establish a method for receiving and evaluating submissions. The major focus for recognizing the papers shall be determined by the Political Science Department or a sub- committee appointed by the Chair. The emphasis shall be on critical analysis of current issues in world politics with a particular concern for controversies in world politics as such relates to peace and conflict studies. Preferred consideration shall be given to students willing to prepare papers for wider dissemination and especially for papers to be given at the annual student conference of the Wisconsin Institute for Peace and Conflict Studies.

The Political Science Department Chair will send a completed “Scholarship Award Form” to the Financial Aid office. The Chair shall also notify the donor of the name(s) of the recipient(s), and a copy of the winning paper(s).
SPECIAL NOTES:
The recipient is encouraged to send a thank-you note to Dr. Leonard Gambrell in care of the UW-Eau Claire Foundation Office, S-214.
