ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
The William E. and Arlene S. Donnelly Scholarship is available to a sophomore, junior or senior who is maintaining at least a 2.0 grade point average and who demonstrates through their activities, true humanitarianism. These activities would be demonstrated through volunteer work in their community for organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Community Tables or for other human interest/service organizations. This scholarship will be awarded to a deserving, capable student enrolled full-time with good academic promise and is based upon financial need. The annual award is to be used towards tuition, academic fees and an allotment for books and supplies. The scholarship is renewable for an additional two years provided the student maintains good academic standing and remains active in humanitarian activities. The Office of Financial Aid will verify academic and financial information annually to determine the recipient initially or for renewal.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
Applications will be available in the UW-Eau Claire Financial Aid Office. The student must complete and return the application form, including the student aid report, and obtain letters of recommendation.
APPLICATION DEADLINE: August 1
SELECTION PROCEDURE:
The Financial Aid Office will forward the applications to Donald Mowry, Service Learning Office, who will select a recipient on the criteria above.
SELECTION DEADLINE: September 15
NOTIFICATION:
The Service Learning Office will send official notification to the recipient, with a copy sent to the family members of William E. and Arlene S. Donnelly. The Service Learning Office will also complete and submit a “Scholarship Award Form” to the Financial Aid Office.
