AMOUNT: Variable AVAILABLE: One award in fall and one in spring ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: The fund will award, to at least one student each fall and spring semester, the fee for successfully taking and passing one of the three Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) Exams listed below. The recipient must initially pay the exam fee and then will be reimbursed. Recipients must be members of the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) and must demonstrate that they have passed one of the following three CPIM exams: Detailed Scheduling and Planning, Execution and Control of Operations, and Strategic Management of Resources. The applicant must have already passed the Basics of Supply Chain Management exam and the Master Planning exam.APPLICATION PROCEDURE: Students must apply to the UW-EC APICS chapter to be considered. The awards will cover the period for fall May 1 to November 30 or December 1 to April 30.APPLICATION DEADLINE: The fall deadline is November 30 or April 30 for spring.SELECTION PROCEDURE: Selection is based upon the applicant’s involvement in APICS and score on the CPIM exam. If a student has received the 3M Award for any of the three exams covered by this award, they are not eligible for consideration.SELECTION DEADLINE: Two weeks following the application deadline.NOTIFICATION: The UW-EC APICS chapter will notify recipients and submit a “Scholarship Award Form” to the Financial Aid Office.SPECIAL NOTES: |
