SPECIAL NOTES:
Andrea Angelo Giovanni Cecchini, born in Bolzano, Italy, lived for a time in Sardinia, endured WWII in Florence, Italy, and then immigrated to the USA in 1952. He found solace from the problems of being a new émigré (few friends, a new language, and family responsibilities) in painting. During his adult life, sculpture, watercolor and his passion, life-drawing, kept him disciplined in hand and eye. He died in 2008 in Eau Claire. The recipient should write a thank you note to Penelope Cecchini, and forward it to the UW-Eau Claire Foundation Office, S-214.
