Foundation Scholarships

Bridge to Success

The Bridge to Success Fund was established to provide support for a deserving full-time international student who has been accepted or conditionally accepted into UW-Eau Claire. The applicant must have been an ESL student for the previous fall semester. The scholarship will be awarded the following fall semester to a student who has proven to be highly motivated, engaged in learning beyond the classroom, is not funded by a grant, and will be continuing full time at UW-Eau Claire. The scholarship will be applied to tuition. Preference will be given to Latin American students and/or international students with financial need.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE: If qualified to apply based on the

above criteria, submit a personal statement along with the “Bridge to Success” application form found at www.uwec.edu/esl.

APPLICATION DEADLINE: First Tuesday in March

SELECTION PROCEDURE: By a committee of the Foreign

Language Department, Center for International Education and Admissions.

SELECTION DEADLINE: April 30

NOTIFICATION: By Chair of the Department of Foreign

Languages. The department chair will complete and submit a “Scholarship Award Form” to the Financial Aid Office.
