Foundation Scholarships

Bridge to Success

The Bridge to Success Fund was established to provide support for a deserving full-time international student who has been accepted or conditionally accepted into UW- Eau Claire for a degree program, but whose admittance into his/her chosen area of studies is postponed due to low English placement test scores (Compass test). Applicant must have been an ESL student for fall semester. The scholarship will be awarded at the end of fall semester to a student who has proven to be highly motivated, not funded by a grant, and will be continuing full time at UW-Eau Claire spring semester. The scholarship award will be applied to tuition. Preference will be given to Latin American students and/or international students with financial need.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE: If qualified to apply based on

the above criteria, submit a personal statement explaining why you feel you deserve this scholarship.

APPLICATION DEADLINE: October 31

SELECTION PROCEDURE: By a committee of the Foreign

Languages Department.

SELECTION DEADLINE: November 15

NOTIFICATION: By Chair of the Department of Foreign

Languages. The department chair will complete and submit a “Scholarship Award Form” to the Financial Aid Office.
