The Ailish Barcelo Women’s Studies Scholarship was established by Christine Webster in memory of Ailish, a 2004 UW-Eau Claire graduate who died on November 25, 2006, along with her cousin as a result of a car accident while she was visiting family and friends in Egypt. Ailish was an active and engaged student leader at UW-Eau Claire, providing leadership to the Office of Multicultural Affairs and the Women’s Studies program. She touched many people in her short time here. Recipients are encouraged to write a thank you letter addressed to Christine Webster and sent to the UW-Eau Claire Foundation Office, S-214.
