Foundation Scholarships

Benrud College Republicans Scholarship

The Michael Benrud Scholarship was created in 2007 by a generous endowment from Mr. and Mrs. Michael Benrud. This scholarship is awarded annually to one University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire College Republican who has demonstrated high levels of achievement. The applicants must be at least second semester, returning students in good academic standing with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher, be in good membership standing, and demonstrated active leadership both on and off campus with the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire College Republicans. Financial need does not have to be demonstrated by the applicants.

Claire College Republicans Executive Board will form an application review committee consisting of College Republican Alumni, graduating seniors, and members of the local Republican Party.

The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire College Republicans will notify the recipient and announce the award in mid May. The UWEC CR advisor and/or UWEC CR chair will complete and submit a “Scholarship Award Form” to the Financial Aid Office so the scholarship can be paid during the next academic year.

University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire College Republicans chapter for at least one (1) semester after receiving the scholarship. The awardees must also send a note of gratitude to Mr. and Mrs. Michael Benrud, in care of the UW-EC Foundation Office, S-214.
