Interdisciplinary overview of focusing on women’s lives
in the United States and globally, as influenced by
gender, ethnicity, class, sexuality, cultural
institutions, social practices, and representations.
Familiarizes students with fundamental concepts and
analysis tools in women’s studies.

LGBTQA Studies SF
Eight-day cultural immersion travel seminar in San
Francisco, including Frameline film festival and SF
Pride. On-campus classes before and after trip. Learn
about and observe LGBT activism/culture and create a
documentary to share with the university/community.

Emphasis on analyzing language surrounding work-family
issues, policies, and practices influence
perceptions/expectations of women. Examine different
