CHIPPEWA INDIANS
The interdisciplinary history of the “Anishenabe” –
Chippewa Indians of the Lake Superior region – a 1,000
year intercultural blending of native and European groups
that produced in the Woodlands, a nomadic hunting,
trapping, and fishing lifestyle, including a curious
relationship with European and American colonists.
