Lecture course developing basic awareness and appreciation
of painting, sculpture, related arts, architecture, their

Assignments present introductory experiences with linocut
and woodblock print processes. Selection of wood grain,
cutting tools, color ink mixing, and registration;

A studio introduction to the aesthetics and techniques of
photography as a fine arts medium of expression. Students
produce images with black and white materials. Contemporary
