Nursing Mission Statement
The purpose of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Nursing departments is to provide a scholarly environment in which faculty and
students gain and extend knowledge of health, health care, and professional
nursing. Nursing offers on-campus and distance baccalaureate,
graduate, and continuing education for the practice of professional nursing.
The select mission of Nursing is to:
- educate nurses at the baccalaureate level through professional and general education to provide professional nursing in a variety of health care settings;
- educate nurses at the master's level who are prepared for leadership and advanced practice in Adult and Family Health Nursing;
- provide continuing education opportunities for registered nurses;
- provide an environment which enhances scholarly activity; and
- contribute to the health care of the community through faculty and student involvement in health focused activities.
Nursing Vision Statement
Members of the UW-Eau Claire Nursing departments, as a learning
community, honor our historical successes while we risk the pursuit of
new avenues of excellence.
