Marshfield Area Information | Marshfield Site Who's Who?
The UW-Eau Claire School of Nursing's Marshfield site is located in Saint
Joseph's Hospital. Nursing courses are offered for sophomores, juniors, seniors, and graduate students.
Pre-nursing prerequisite courses can be taken at a variety of institutions. It is essential that students determine that courses they plan to take will transfer into UW-Eau Claire as equivalents to required courses.
Program plans have been developed for three campuses in the Marshfield area: UW-Stevens Point, a four-year institution, and UW-Marshfield/Wood County and UW-Marathon County, two-year institutions. Following one of these programs insures students will have the necessary prerequisites. The program plans are developed for full-time study. However, students do not need to take classes full-time prior to admission to the School of Nursing; part-time program plans can be developed.
For more information on these campuses contact: UW-Stevens Point, UW-Marshfield/Wood County or UW-Marathon County.
Students
at the Marshfield site receive the same, high-quality education as those
enrolled at the main campus in Eau Claire. Courses are taught by faculty
located in Marshfield, faculty from Eau Claire who travel to Marshfield,
and by interactive television in special distance education classrooms.
In addition to classrooms, the Marshfield site includes computer labs, clinical skills lab, student lounge, conference room, and faculty offices. Textbooks are available on site. Approximately 72 students are enrolled at the campus.
