This is the Spring 2009 issue of NOTA. It is emerging out of winter like all the things that appear in peoples' yards as the snow melts. The sun is shining down on it and even the dead grass looks nice. this semester's nota should feel really okay about things. It published twenty five people and now you are looking at their work.
A laser-cut cover reveals the little yellow shapes that populate the pages and cover of this NOTA issue.
Surrender to 8-bit prose! Unfortunately this Pocket NOTA portable system isn't compatible with any of your original GameBoy games. But you can read Jeffrey Becklund's short story, Walking at Night, and Points of Interest by Shane Frankiewitz.
The Spring 2008 issue of Nota marked the first full-color magazine in NOTA's illustrious 25 year history. Up until this point, artists' work couldn't be represented as it was originally created. The cover is covered in the bugs that accompany the approach of warm weather. Touch them; they're shiny and have a slight texture.
This miniature issue features written work too long to fit into the standard issue. It used to be called The Fascicle. No one knew what that meant, so now it's called Pocket NOTA. It's pocket sized and actually fits in most pockets. Some people think 'it's cute', and one person even 'hugged it'.
